Frequently Asked Questions
I see you are in private beta — how can I request early access?
Musequence is currently in private beta. Register for early access at the bottom of this page and we will invite you as guide creation and the mobile apps open up. In the meantime you can browse published museum guides on our website to see what is coming.
Do I need to rent headphones or a museum audio device?
No. Musequence is bring-your-own-device (BYOD). You listen on your smartphone with your own headphones. There is no rental desk, charging rack, or museum handset to collect and return.
Which museums have Musequence audio guides?
Musequence is built so you can create a personalised audio guide for virtually any museum — on demand, shaped around your interests, time, and pace. You do not have to wait for a pre-made tour to be listed.
Browse museums on our Explore page to get started, and see example published guides as the catalogue grows. Officially endorsed partnerships add an extra institutional layer where museums choose to work with us directly.
How does a personalised museum audio guide work?
Instead of one fixed tour for everyone, Musequence shapes a route and narrative around your interests, how long you have, and the pace you want to explore. You still hear curated, collection-grounded storytelling — just organised around your visit rather than a single top-down playlist.
How much does a Musequence guide cost?
Individual museum guides are priced from £4.99 in the Musequence app. Exact pricing for a given museum appears on that guide’s page once it is available to purchase.
Can I listen offline inside the museum?
Yes. After you purchase a guide in the Musequence app you can download the clips before you arrive, then listen offline in the galleries — no mobile signal or data needed once you are inside.
Is Musequence available on iPhone and Android?
Yes — Musequence is built for both iOS and Android. App Store and Google Play listings will open fully as we leave private beta. Until then, early access registration is the best way to be notified.
What if something goes wrong during my visit?
Use the Customer Support email address (support@musequence.com) with details of your name, device, museum and a short description of the issue. If we cannot resolve it while you are still in the museum, we will still work to make it right afterwards.
I represent a museum — how do we partner with Musequence?
We work with museums on officially endorsed, licensed guides with curator consultation and a revenue-sharing model — without hardware fleets. Read the partnership overview on our For Museums page, then email partnerships@musequence.com or choose Museum partnerships in the contact form.
How is Musequence different from a traditional museum audio guide?
Traditional rentals often mean one shared tour on museum-owned devices. Musequence runs on the visitor’s phone, supports personalised routes, and can be downloaded for offline listening — with institutional partners able to offer officially endorsed experiences rather than a generic third-party script.
Who should I contact for press or investor enquiries?
Use General enquiries on this page and choose that topic in the form, or email hello@musequence.com. Tell us whether you are writing a story, requesting a briefing, or exploring an investment so we can route you to the right person.
